Whether you’re moving into a new condo, remodeling your home or renovating the company’s office,  here are a few tips to help you find a reliable plumber wherever you happen to be.

Ask for references –

Read online reviews and see what other people say about your plumber.

Ask for estimates –

Ensure you understand the full scope of work that will be performed.  Be specific about your needs.  Ask questions about things you don’t understand.  Ask about the plumber’s experience in similar projects.

Are you remodeling your home?  Is a home inspection needed?

Are you in the process of upgrading your bathroom, expanding your kitchen or adding a fixture?  If a home is being sold or purchased, passing a home inspection is a very big deal.  Ensure that any  needed repairs (building permits, etc.) are done to standard and be sure the project bid includes these details.

Ask about project timeline –

When can the plumber get started?  How much time will it take to complete the project?  This may be obvious, but make sure your plumber has availability and can provide an estimate on the project timeline.
